Introduction

Tajweed is giving each letter its due right of necessary and accidental characteristics, and its due right with reaching the goal and the end in mastering and improving it and freeing it from the defect of increase and decrease.
The science of Tajweed can be defined as:
A science that regulates the rules and provisions of the method of pronouncing the words and phrases of the Qur’an in the manner in which it was revealed to the Prophet – peace be upon him .

Tajweed is one of the most prominent, esteemed, and honorable of the Islamic sciences. This is due to its connection to the speech of the Lord of the Worlds and its most important function being to safeguard the tongue from deviating from the correct pronunciation of the Qur’an. It is the most important way to recite the Qur’an and receive its full reward.

Tajweed Science include :

Ahkam al-Isti’azah and al-Basmalah:
Includes the formula of isti’azah (seeking refuge), its ruling, and its circumstances.
Includes the formula of basmalah (saying “Bismillah”), its ruling, and its circumstances.
Ahkam al-Noon al-Saakinah and al-Tanween:
Defines al-noon al-saakinah and al-tanween and the difference between them.
Provides a detailed definition of their rulings: izhaar (manifestation), idghaam (assimilation), iqlaab (substitution), and ikhfaa (concealment).
Ahkam al-Meem al-Saakinah:
Defines it and its rulings: ikhfaa, idghaam, and izhaar al-shafawi (labial manifestation).
Ahkam al-Madd and its Types:
Includes the meaning of madd and qasr (shortening).
Defines madd, its letters, ranks, titles, and the meeting of madd letters.
Includes the types of madd: original, secondary, connected, disconnected, compensatory, accidental to sakin, obligatory word-level (light and heavy), obligatory letter-level (light and heavy).
Makhārij al-Huroof (Points of Articulation of Letters):
Defines makhraj and harf.
Defines the titles of letters and their points of articulation: the cavity, throat, tongue, lips, and nasal cavity.
Sifāt al-Huroof (Characteristics of Letters):
Defines the characteristics of letters with opposites: whispering and voicing, strength and medium, softness, rising and falling, closure and openness, idhlaaq and ismaat.
Defines the characteristics of letters without opposites: whistling, qalqalah, lenition, deviation, repetition, spreading, elongation, concealment, ghunnah.
Al-Tafkheem and al-Tarqeeq (Emphasizing and Thinning):
Defines them and their divisions: letters always emphasized or thinned, letters that vary between emphasis and thinning.
Ahkam al-Waqf and al-Ibtidaa’ (Stopping and Starting):
Defines waqf and its divisions: complete, sufficient, good, and bad.
Defines ibtidaa’ and its types.

Course levels

This course is divided into three levels:
Level 1: In this level, students will learn the basics of Tajweed and the basic rules of letters with ghunnah (nasalization) and resonance, as well as the rules of madd.
Level 2: In this level, students will study the points of articulation of letters and the characteristics of letters, and they will learn the difference between letters that are similar in pronunciation and the characteristics of each letter.
Level 3: In this level, students will study the rules of stopping and starting, disconnected and connected, and open ta letter .
Students will learn one lesson at a time with their teacher and apply it intensively so that the theoretical rule is imprinted on their reading and recitation of the Qur’an, and then they will move on to the next lesson.
