Introduction

The Arabic language, also known as the language of Dad, is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, It is also considered a sacred language as it is the language of the Qur’an, beside that Prayer and other Islamic worship can only be performed with a good command of the Arabic language.

Arabic Language Sciences

⦁ (Nahwu): The science that studies the original formation of sentences and the rules of their parsing. Nahwu focuses on determining the functions of words in a sentence, understanding the relationships between them, and determining the rules of their i’rab (declension), such as (raising), (lowering), (dragging), and (Gazm).

⦁ (Balagha): The science that concerns the power of influence and good expression in speech.
Balagha aims to understand how language is used effectively to convey meaning, evoke emotions, and achieve the desired effect. Balagha is divided into three sections:

⦁ (Bayan): Focuses on studying the meaning in speech and how to convey it clearly and directly.

⦁ (Ma’ani): Focuses on studying the meaning of words in a sentence and how they are used to express different meanings.

⦁ (Badi’): Focuses on studying the aesthetic aspects of speech, such as the use of similes, metaphors, and metonymy.

⦁ (Arud wa-Qawafi): The science that studies the meters and rhymes of Arabic poetry. Arud focuses on studying the Arabic poetic meters, which are the patterns on which poetic verses are built. Qawafi focuses on studying the rhyme, which is the agreement in the pronunciation of the letters at the end of poetic verses.

⦁ (Ishtiqaq): The science that studies how words are derived from each other. Ishtiqaq focuses on studying Arabic roots and how words are formed from these roots using the letters of (increase), (decrease), and (change).

⦁ (Tasrif): The science that studies how Arabic words are changed in terms of form and function. Tasrif focuses on studying tenses, verbs, and nouns, and how they are conjugated in different situations.

⦁ (I’rab): The science that studies how to show the signs of i’rab on Arabic words. I’rab focuses on studying the signs of (raising), (lowering), (dragging), and (cutting), and how to show them on words in different sentences.

⦁ (Tradof): The existence of two or more words with the same meaning. Tradof focuses on studying synonyms and how they are used in different contexts.
